Introduction

Zettahash DAO and its affiliates (hereinafter, “Zettahash DAO”, "the Company", "we", "us" or "our") are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. In addition, we recognize that persons who use Zettahash DAO value their privacy. This Privacy Policy, together with our Terms of Use, governs the collection, processing, and use of your Personal Information. By accessing Zettahash DAO, you consent to the information collection and use practices described in this Privacy Policy.

This Privacy Policy is designed to clearly and responsibly outline how Zettahash DAO collects and utilizes information.

Personal Information

"Personal Information" identifies you personally or by which your identity can reasonably be ascertained.

This may include but is not limited to:

  1. Zettahash may require information from nominated Elected Members and established Elected Members
  2. Full legal name, address for service, e-mail address, phone number, date of birth, photographic identification, government-issued identification and other contact details.
  3. Your blockchain wallet addresses.
  4. Ethereum network information related to transactions.
  5. We may receive Ethereum network information from you due to your interaction with Zettahash DAO.
  6. Zettahash DAO requires the highest level of browser permissions, which could potentially lead to the procurement of more Personal Information than is enclosed in the definition of Personal Information.
  7. Zettahash DAO may require the use of MetaMask and may obtain additional information from MetaMask related to Ethereum address and transactions.

  9. Zettahash DAO uses Google Analytics to monitor web traffic. Google controls any identifying information collected via Google Analytics.
  10. Ethereum blockchain and other public blockchains provide transparency in transactions, and Zettahash DAO is not responsible for preventing or managing information broadcasted on a blockchain.

Personal Information Collected

Personal information you provide to us through the Service or otherwise may include:

  1. Provide our services efficiently and effectively;
  2. Inform you about financing features;
  3. Develop, enhance, market, and deliver products and services to you;
  4. Understand your needs and your eligibility for services;
  5. Provide information to you about developments and new products, including changes and enhancements to the Site;
  6. Conduct surveys and get feedback from you;
  7. Meet Zettahash DAO’s legal and regulatory requirements (eg, information required to verify your identity).
  8. Business and personal contact information, such as your first and last name, email and mailing addresses, phone number, professional title, and company name.
  9. User-generated content data, such as photos, text, images, audio and video, comments, questions, messages, works of authorship, and other content or information that you generate, transmit, or otherwise make available on the Service and associated metadata.
  10. Feedback or correspondence data, such as information you provide when you contact us and other users of the Services or based on our exchanges with you, including when you contact us through the Service, social media, or otherwise.
  11. Profile information, such as your crypto wallet address and username and password that you may set to establish an online account with us, your photograph, interests, preferences, links to your profiles on social networks (e.g., Reddit), and any other information that you add to your account profile.
  12. Event data, such as any events that you may register for or create.
  13. Other information that we may collect which is not explicitly listed here, but which we will use in accordance with this Privacy Policy or as otherwise disclosed at the time of collection.

Information We May Obtain From Social Media Platforms

We may maintain pages for our Company on social media platforms, such as Reddit, Telegram, Twitter, Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and other third-party platforms. When you visit or interact with our pages on those platforms, the platform provider’s privacy policy will apply to your interactions and their collection, use, and processing of your personal information. You or the platforms may provide us with information through the platform, and we will treat such information in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Third-party sources. We may combine personal information we receive from you with personal information we obtain from other sources, such as:

Public sources, such as social media platforms, and other publicly available sources.

  • Marketing partners, such as joint marketing partners and event co-sponsors.

Third-party services: if you choose to login to the Service via a third-party platform we may collect information from that platform or network. For example, this information may include your crypto-wallet username and user ID.

Automatic data collection. We, our service providers, and our business partners may automatically log information about you, your computer or mobile device, and activity occurring on or through the Service, including but not limited,

  • Device data, such as your computer or mobile device operating system type and version number, manufacturer and model, browser type, screen resolution, RAM and disk size, CPI usage, device type (e.g., phone, tablet), IP address, unique identifiers (including identifiers used for advertising purposes), language settings, mobile device carrier, radio/network information (e.g., Wi-Fi, LTE, 3G), and general location information such as city, state or geographic area.
  • Online activity data includes pages or screens you viewed, the website you visited before browsing to our website, how long you spent on a page or screen, navigation paths between pages or screens, information about your activity on a page or screen, access times and duration of access, and whether you have opened our emails or clicked links within them.
  • Precise geolocation data when authorizing the Service to access your device’s location.

Some of the automatic collection described above is facilitated by the following technologies:

Referrals. Users of the Service may have the opportunity to refer friends or other contacts to us. If you are an existing user, you may only submit a referral if you have permission to provide the referral’s contact information so that we may contact them.

We use your personal information for the following purposes and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy or at the time of collection:

To generate anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data. We may create anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data from your personal information and other individuals whose personal information we collect. We make personal information into anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data by removing information that makes the data personally identifiable to you. We may use this anonymous, aggregated, or de-identified data and share it with third parties for our lawful business purposes to analyze and improve the Service and promote our business.

Cookies and similar technologies. In addition to the other uses included in this section, we may use the Cookies and similar technologies described above for the following purposes:

  • Technical operation. To allow the technical operation of the Service, such as by remembering your selections and preferences as you navigate the site and whether you are logged in when you visit password-protected areas of the Service.
  • Functionality. To enhance the performance and functionality of our services.
  • Advertising. To help our third-party advertising partners collect information about how you use the Service and other online services over time, which they use to show you ads on other online services they believe will interest you and measure how the ads perform.

Retention of Personal Information

We will hold your Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy and our legal and regulatory requirements. Your Personal Information may be processed and stored in a foreign country or countries. You should note that you are not obliged to give your Personal Information to Zettahash DAO, but if you choose not to do so, we may not be able to provide our services or your access to our services may be limited.

We may share your personal information with the following parties and as otherwise described in this Privacy Policy, in other applicable notices, or at the time of collection.

Affiliates. Our subsidiaries and affiliates.

Service providers. We may share your personal information with third party companies and individuals that provide services on our behalf or help us operate the Service.

Advertising partners. Third-party advertising companies for the interest-based advertising purposes described above.

Linked third-party services. If you log into the Service or use the Service with other third-party service, we may share your personal information with that third-party service. The third party’s use of the shared information will be governed by its privacy policy and the settings associated with your account with the third-party service.

Other Users of the Service and the Public. We may provide functionality enabling you to disclose personal information to other Service users or the public. For instance, you can maintain a user profile with information about yourself to make available to other users or the public. You may also be able to submit content to the Service (such as comments, reviews, surveys, blogs, photos, and videos), and we will display your name, username, and a link to your user profile along with the content you submit. In addition, you can share geolocation information with other users of the Service. We do not control how other users or third parties use any personal information you make available to such users or the public.

Event creators. If you choose to register for an event on the Service, we may share your personal information, such as your name, email, and attendance, with the event creator and/or other users.

Cryptocurrency platforms. Any information collected necessary to process a token purchase (such as your wallet address) is collected and processed directly by your chosen cryptocurrency platform. Please review the privacy policies for the relevant cryptocurrency platform to learn how they may use your payment information.

Disputes. We may share Users' Personal Information with any financial dispute resolution action to which the Company subscribes, as well as other law enforcement bodies, regulatory agencies, courts, arbitration bodies, and dispute resolution schemes, as may be required by law.

If you request it in writing, we may share your Personal Information with your Zettahash Elected Members. Except where disclosure of your Personal Information is required by law or requested by you, we will generally require any third party that receives or has access to Personal Information to protect such Personal Information and to use it only to carry out the services they are performing for you or us unless otherwise required or permitted by law. We will ensure that any third party knows our obligations under this Privacy Policy. We will take reasonable steps to ensure that contracts we enter with such third parties bind them to terms no less protective of any Personal Information disclosed to them than the obligations we undertake to you under this Privacy Policy or which are imposed on us under applicable data protection laws.

In the event that Zettahash DAO is involved in a merger, acquisition, sale, bankruptcy, insolvency, reorganization, receivership, assignment, or the application of laws or change of control, your information may be disclosed to another entity related to such an event.

Your Choices

Opt out of marketing communications. You may opt out of marketing-related emails by following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of the email or by contacting us at community@zettahash.org. You may continue to receive service-related and other non-marketing emails.

Cookies. Most browsers let you remove or reject cookies. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. Many browsers accept cookies by default until you change your settings. Please note that if you set your browser to disable cookies, the Sites may not work correctly. You can also configure your device to prevent images from loading to prevent web beacons from functioning.

Mobile location data. In your mobile device settings, you can disable our access to your device’s precise geolocation.

  • Privacy browsers/plug-ins. Use privacy browsers and/or ad-blocking browser plug-ins to block tracking technologies.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. We take reasonable steps to protect your Personal Information from misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure, including implementing appropriate security measures. The security measures in place will, from time to time, be reviewed in line with legal and technical developments. However, we give no guarantee that such misuse, loss, unauthorized access, modification, or disclosure will not occur. There are protective measures that you should take, including but not limited to changing passwords regularly and not sharing your Personal Information with others unless you clearly understand the purpose of their request. You know with whom you are dealing.

Children

The Service is not intended for use by anyone under 18 years of age. If you are a parent or guardian of a child from whom you believe we have collected personal information in a manner prohibited by law, please contact us. Suppose we learn that we have collected personal information through the Service from a child without the consent of the child’s parent or guardian as required by law. In that case, we will comply with applicable legal requirements to delete the information.

Our policies, content, information, promotions, disclosures, disclaimers, and features may be revised, modified, updated, and/or supplemented at any time and without prior notice at the sole and absolute discretion of the Company. If we change this Privacy Policy, we will notify all Users by posting a notice on our website and posting the amended Privacy Policy on the website.
